THE BASICS

What is Borrow For Your Bump?

We are an online service for new and expecting moms. We provide one-time dress rentals and a subscription box service. Shipping is always free and we take care of the cleaning.

How does Borrow For Your Bump work?

Dresses

Need a dress for a special occasion? The a dress rental is right for you. Browse the dresses and find the style you need. Select your size, the rental terms (1-4 weeks), and the delivery date (we recommend two or three days before your event). Shipping is free both ways and we take care of the cleaning.  

Boxes

If you need everyday solutions (think denim, dresses, trousers, blouses) for work and play, then a box is right for you. For $99, you can borrow 4 items for as long or as little as you want. Simply sign up for the box service and fill out your style profile and we will match styles and sizes to your needs. We take care of the cleaning and the shipping is one flat rate.

Keep your box as long as you want. When you are done, return one, two, three or all four items for another box. If you really loved your items, you can buy them! You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@borrowforyourbump.com.

What is the condition of the items?

We thoroughly inspect each garment to ensure it is of premium quality and like-new condition.

What happens if I lose or damage an item?

All items are insured for general wear and tear (this includes minor stains, rips, missing beads, stuck zippers or other damage determined to be minor by BFYB) . Any significant damage or lost items, you will be charged for the price of the repair or up to the retail value of the item(s).

Is this a subscription service?

Dresses

No. This is a one-time rental. Your card will remain on file until the item(s) is return. Continuous rental and late fees will apply if an item is kept past the original rental terms.

Boxes

Yes. You will be billed monthly (every 30 days from your original purchase) $99. Your rentals are unlimited, meaning you can exchange one or all four garments for another shipment at any time. Your subscription can be cancelled at anytime, as long as the items are returned to our warehouse and your cancellation is requested before the original subscription date.

Do you have a retail location?

We do not have a retail location at this time. Our warehouse is located in Omaha, Nebraska and we will accept private appointments on case by case basis. Just email us at hello@borrowforyourbump.com to inquire about setting up an appointment.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

What are my delivery options?

Dresses

We ship all garments via USPS or FedEx. A tracking notification will be provided and emailed once it is created and about ready to be shipped from our warehouse. The delivery will arrive on your specified delivery date. Note that if your delivery arrives earlier than expected, your rental start date will not begin until your specified delivery date.

Boxes

Boxes will be shipped within a day or two after your box has been purchased and your style profile has been created via USPS Priority Mail. If you are still working with a stylist on specific needs, this may take longer. A tracking notification will be provided and email once it is created and about ready to be shipped from our warehouse.

What if I can't locate my return label?

Just shoot us an email to hello@borrowforyourbump.com with your order number and we will email a return label.

Late Fee Policy

Dresses

Many of our rentals are booked for weeks and months in advance. If your rental is late, this impacts future rentals and our reputation to provide a flawless experience. Please review our return policy in our terms about the fees associated with a late rental.

 

Boxes

There are no late fees as long as your credit card on file is valid. All garments in our boxes can be kept as long as you want.

How long does it take to process returns?

Dresses

Your dress rental return will be processed on the business day it is received via our shipping vendor. You will receive an email notification once we receive the item in our warehouse.

Boxes

Your subscription box items will be processed on the business day it is received via our shipping vendor (excluding Saturdays and Sundays). You will receive an email notification once we receive the item(s) in our warehouse. It will take usually one day (but no more than two) to process and ship out the new item(s).

Do you ship outside of the U.S.?

Sorry not at this time.

What happens if I damage or lose an item?

MY ORDER

What if my order doesn't fit?

Dresses

Email us (hello@borrowforyourbump.com) or call us right away (1-855-416-2392). We will see if we can get an alternate size or dress delivered in time.

Boxes

If something doesn’t fit in your box order, simply use the pre-paid return label to return the item. Make sure to note why the item didn’t fit so we can update your account.

How long is my order?

Dresses

You choose your rental terms when you select your style, size and delivery date. For dress rentals, you can rent an item for as little as 1 week and up to 4 weeks. The rental starts on your preferred delivery date and ends 1-4 weeks laters.

Your return must be postmarked by the last day of your rental to avoid further rental and late fees.

Boxes

Your box subscription is unlimited! You will be charged the monthly fee of $99 each month, starting on the day you made the original purchase. You can return your garments as much or a little as you would like. Once our warehouse receives a return, the new items will be shipped by the following business day or two. You can return one item at a time or up to all four.

Do I need to clean my order?

All cleaning (dresses and subscription box items) will be cleaned by Borrow For Your Bump.

If you need to clean your garment, we have a strict dry clean only policy.

What if I want to purchase my order?

Just email hello@borrowforyourbump.com and we can give you pricing details if this item is available to purchase.

How do I make changes to my order?

Simply login to your account to make any changes to your order, shipping address or billing information. If you can’t find what you are looking for, simply email us at hello@borrowforyourbump.com or call 1-855-416-2392 to provide the changes.

How do I cancel my order?

Dresses

An dress rental can be cancelled up to 7 days before the delivery date for store credit only – we can not guarantee any cancellations made after this time.

Boxes

A box order can be cancelled at any time by emailing hello@borrowforyourbump.com. As long as you cancel and return all items before your next billing date, you will not be charged. If you cancel and do not return the items, you can be charged up to full retail value of each item.

Will I get to choose the items shipped in my box?

At this time, we send you very simliar styles to your preferences and the styles selected in your style profile. We just want our borrowistas to remember to keep an open mind. We can often surprise mamas by suggesting pieces that may fit to their body type and still look great!

Can I keep the garment bag?

We recommend returning the garment bag with the garment inside so it is protected during shipping.

STYLE & FIT

What brands does BFYB carry?

Borrow For Your Bump carries only high-quality, well-known brands from maternity to non-maternity. Seraphine, LAmade, Paige Denim, Show Me Your Mumu, Imanimo, Madeleine. Our team is constantly working to provide the highest quality brands that fit the mama lifestyle.

How do I know which size I am?

Dresses

You can view our size guide which has measuring tips as well as specific size charts for each brand.

Boxes

Updating your style profile is a must after you purchase your box. You can tell us your size in tops, bottoms, denim and dresses. We also leave fields for special sizing and style requests. We recommend using your pre-pregnancy size unless you are already wearing some maternity sizes. We use our measurements of each garment combined with customer feedback to then find the best options to fit your profile.

For example, if you are normally wear a size small in a top but we send a medium – this style probably runs small. We pride ourselves on being sizing experts. We won’t be 100% all the time but that’s why we provide unlimited exchanges.
